As a single traveler, I saved a lot by staying at this hotel and still got a private room. The staff was incredibly nice and helpful, patiently answering all my questions. The location was a bit far from the main sights, but the bike rental was totally worth it. The hotel is in a quiet and safe neighborhood with beautiful views and is close to the lake. The owner always had a smile on her face and went out of her way to accommodate my last-minute request to store my luggage before my excursion.

Every time in Obertraun we stay in this hotel. The location was quiet and the bed comfortable. Owner was friendly. We had a sunny balcony.

The rooms at Haus Alpenrose are simply furnished but cozy, with a seating area and satellite TV. I stayed in a room with a balcony, and the scenic mountain views were absolutely breathtaking. Some rooms offer mountain views and free Wi-Fi, which was a great bonus.

Personally, I would have preferred a private bathroom instead of a shared one.

The woman who ran the hotel was so lovely and nice! I felt so welcomed. The rooms were lovely with balconies looking out over the village and to the mountains. The place was tidy and clean and there was use of the communal kitchenette. Although the village is a bit isolated, it is in a beautiful location and just a short walk from a beautiful lake. I had a great stay at Haus Alpenrose and would definitely recommend it.

We loved our stay here! It was so convenient as it's right beside the station, making transportation easy. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, and the hotel facilities were clean and well-maintained. The location to the mountains was also a huge plus, with beautiful scenery visible from our room. Plus, the breakfast was absolutely delicious!

We stayed at a hotel in a quiet and safe area, just a few minutes' walk from transportation options, including the last ferry and train. The hotel is also conveniently close to Krippenstein ski area. The room was clean, with comfortable bedding, towels, and blankets. The staff provided great service, including a delicious breakfast every morning. There were also laundry facilities available, and a helpful bakery downstairs.

The Wi-Fi connection was very weak and unreliable, which made it difficult to stay connected.

The family of Alpenrose were extremely welcoming and helpful. Assistance with cooking and mountain equipment. Convenient location for hikes and activities.

And the free bus pass was a super bonus, saving us lots on transportation. The room was okay and the Wi-Fi was fast. Plus, having clean toilets outside the room was a relief for any emergencies. As a single traveler, Obertraun was the perfect choice. The single room was nice, even though the bed wasn't the comfiest. The trip to Hallstatt was super easy and much cheaper. The kitchen had a slight smoke smell, but it had all the essentials like a fridge, microwave, and kettle. Staying in Obertraun is highly recommended over Hallstatt. I saved so much money and got a private room. Sharing the bathroom wasn't a problem at all, as it was always clean, and the neighborhood was quiet and safe. The owner was incredibly nice and accommodating, even fulfilling a last-minute request for early check-in. The location was jaw-dropping! Perfect for accessing attractions and outdoor activities in the area. With my bike, it was only a 15-minute ride to Hallstatt, and just 5 minutes to local restaurants and the cable car station. The grocery store, train station, and bike path to Bad Ischl were all just 2 minutes away. The place was clean, the staff friendly, and it was wonderfully quiet at night.

Great views from the mountain side room and easy access to the local attractions like the lake and transportation. Comfortable bed and a clean place to stay when on a budget, which was really nice. the bakery downstairs smelled amazing every morning and made breakfast enjoyable.

The shared bathroom was a disappointment as it turned out to be far from the room and you had to go through the hallway and the other rooms to get to it. It wasn’t clean as well and gave off a foul odor most of the time.

Great romantic getaway! The views were stunning and the surrounding area was perfect for outdoor activities. The hotel is conveniently located near a bus stop which allowed us to easily explore the region. We were pleasantly surprised with the complimentary bus pass offered by the hotel, which made transportation a breeze. the fast Wi-Fi was a huge bonus for us!

The shower design in our room was not ideal and caused the bathroom to flood after just a couple of uses. the hot water took a bit longer than expected to reach the shower.
